British comedian Mark Oliver was performing at a comedy club in Bristol, England, when his left knee gave way and, as he collapsed in a heap on the stage, he broke his ankle. Oliver continued telling jokes as he lay on the floor, unable to move and lapsing in and out of consciousness from the pain. It was only when paramedics arrived about 20 minutes later that the aud-ience realized the fall hadn't been part of the performance.

John and Mary Rushman of Colona, Ill., were charged with beating house-guest Richard God-dard Jr. in the face with a ball-peen hammer because he was getting on their nerves with his suicide threats.
WORST STUNT
A 26-year-old man was hospitalized for months in Illawarra, Australia, following an accident that authorities say was inspired by the film "Jackass." The man was walking across a room with a lighted firecracker between his posterior cheeks when he slipped and fell backward to the floor. He suffered a fractured pelvis, severe burns, hemorrhaging from the buttocks and a ruptured urethra, leaving him incontinent and sexually dysfunctional.
IDIOT OF THE YEAR!
A unnamed man in Stavoprol, Russia, who, after a night of drinking, stopped to urinate at a bus shelter in -20 degree weather and his manhood became stuck to the frozen metal. A large crowd gathered, shouting advice, before a passerby was able to free the man using a kettle of warm water. Our hero reportedly refused further medical help before running off.
